For Berlin Art Week 2020 we present an exhibition that deals with the topics of death and evanescence in a wider sense. In the former funeral chapel at the Neuer Friedhof St. Jacobi in Neukölln, different artists enter into a dialogue about ephemerality, change, new beginnings and address philosophical, sociological and political questions around the topic, including considerations on how to cope with grief, the fear of death, gender issues or gentrification.
In addition to new artistic productions, there is a collaboration with the stonemason based at the cemetery, as well as other collaborations with local initiatives. The show brings together an international and diverse artist line-up including various media like painting, sculpture, installation, video, photography and sound.
